How does Qalara verify its sellers?
We identify and shortlist sellers based on credible and legitimate associations. These include Export Promotion Councils, Business Trade Associations, World Fair Trade Organization, Craftmark, Crafts Council and others. We then verify all our sellers against our six core values i.e. artisanal, eco friendly, organic, fair & social, recycled, sustainable. Once shortlisted we reach out to the sellers to review their certifications and legal compliance documentation. We also undertake physical audits of their factory or facility as best possible before onboarding a supplier. If factory audits are not done, we undertake reference checks and review customer or client feedback where possible.
